Wedding Photography: Fran & Mike

Fran and Mike had a beautiful 1920s, vintage inspired ceremony at Callaway Vinyard and Winery.  The reception took place in the incredible barrel room and the decorations made you feel like Gatsby would walk around the corner at any minute.  They incorporated a unique wine blending during their ceremony to represent the blending of their two lives, that created a wine for them to save and drink on their anniversary.  Congratulations Fran and Mike!

wedding: nick & melanie

Nick and Melanie are great friends of ours - Nick was a groomsman in our wedding back in 2010. So we were thrilled when they asked us to capture their wedding, for Michael to be a groomsman, and for lil Mikey to be the ring bearer. In addition to photography, we did the videography and brought our open-air photo booth. Check out the photo booth photos here.

Melanie is obsessed with the 1960s, and was inspired to do a Mad Men-esque soiree. She incorporated as many vintage details as possible. In addition, both she and Nick are Disney-lovers, so there were subtle Disney details like the Mickey Mouse Club vintage patch on her garter, and Cinderella's castle painted on the bottom of her vintage peep-toe pumps. The rustic vintage affair took place at McCormick Ranch in Camarillo. There was a tear-jerking ceremony; a cocktail hour featuring signature drinks such as the Peter Venkman (an ode to Nick's favorite movie, Ghostbusters); a lovely reception with delicious food by Stone Fire Grill, music, dancing, and games; all followed by a beautiful sparkler exit to a grand exit in a vintage car. Congrats to the happy couple! We're not going to lie--you may receive 50,000 photos of just Mikey as the ring bearer.

portrait session: liz

Liz is celebrating her 40th birthday with a big 1920s bash. In addition, she wanted to celebrate with a vintage-inspired portrait session. We had such a great time shooting with her in the studio and out by the pool.
