portraits: the herrera family

We love the Herrera family! We shot their beautiful wedding back in 2013, and they brought us back a year later in 2014 for anniversary and baby photos (when baby Elaina was 3 months old). We're so excited that they had us back again this year to capture their beautiful family once again as well as Elaina, who is now 15 months old. Such a cutie!

1 year anniversary: ariel & brandon

We have had the pleasure of knowing Ariel and Brandon for a couple of years now. We met when they hired us the shoot their wedding. We then went to Temecula for the weekend to do their engagement photos and quickly became good friends (a few glasses of wine will do that, won't they?!). Then came time for their big day, which was now one year ago. To celebrate their one year anniversary, we did a shoot in Pasadena, California, where Ariel grew up and where the couple now lives. We started at Arlington Gardens with a picnic set-up, went to Ariel's old neighborhood and took some photos in front of a Frank Lloyd Wright house and on her old tree-lined street, moved on to a super-cool alley on the outskirts of Old Town, and finished at Arroyo Seco with some awesome action shots with holi powder. It was messy. It was fun. It was photographic gold.
